Back To School Fair

Each August, we host a Back to School Fair with the goal of helping our community get a jump start on a great school year.

  • This year, we will distribute over 400 winter coats and backpacks filled with basic school supplies. This event will take place at both of our campuses on August 15, 2026. Children must be present to receive a backpack and coat. Registration is not required to attend.

How can I help?

DONATE TO THE SUPPLY DRIVE
  • ​(mid July through early August)
  •  Backpacks  Crayola Colored Pencils, 12-pk  Ticonderoga#2 Pencils, 24-pk  Multi-Colored Highlighters, 4-pk  Composition Notebooks
  • Cash donations are also welcomed; we are able to buy some supplies in bulk and stretch those dollars further.

VOLUNTEER
  • Want to be a part of the fun and help share these backpacks with our neighbors? It takes many volunteers to run the Back to School Fair:
  • pack backpacks
  • set up/tear down
  • welcome guests
  • distribute backpacks and coats
  • direct traffic

All volunteer leaders are required to submit a Volunteer Application and be appropriately screened and trained before serving in any volunteer capacity at OSLC.
The Participation Form is our main source of information, medical release, photo release and authorizations for children, youth, and adults to participate in activities or events with OSLC.
