The Church in Community

The reality of the fallen world we live in is that we all need help. We have all fallen short, and it is only by God's grace that we are enabled to continue to live and move and breathe.

Part of our mission at OSLC is to Love People and Live Like Jesus... we do this by serving one another, by meeting one another in our time of need.

How can we help you?

How Can We Help?

  1. Faith In Action[+]

Click here for the Faith in Action page.

Every 3rd Saturday of the month (usually), we gather to help people within our community.

Please fill out THIS FORM if you or someone you know might have a need... (handy work around the house, yard work, light construction, car repair, computer help, etc).

  2. Backpacks 4 Kids[+]

Did you know that one in four children in Pierce County does not get enough to eat, and 100% of the children in Franklin Pierce Elementary Schools qualify for free and reduced lunch?  Working with school counselors, the Backpacks 4 Kids program identifies children who are known to go without food over the weekend and supplies them with with kid friendly, no preparation type food to last for an entire weekend. Backpacks are delivered to local elementary schools in the Franklin Pierce District each Friday.  Learn more...

  3. Celebrate Recovery[+]

“Come as You Are!”  What a wonderful invitation from our Lord Jesus Christ through Celebrate Recovery®. Thousands of people around the country have been helped to overcome hurts, hang-ups, habits, and addictions through God’s healing grace.  We are all in need of healing, and Celebrate Recovery can help us to find victory over things that plague us.  Disruptive behaviors, anger, co-dependency, eating disorders, grief, financial instability, and addictions are some of the things keeping us from forgiveness and living as disciples in the will of God.  So, “Come as You Are” and experience Celebrate Recovery.  We meet in the Fellowship Hall on Tuesday nights at 6:00pm.  Dinner and childcare are provided. Contact Patti Hagen (253-848-5871) or Dennis Watson (253-948-7492) for more information.
